Jennifer Welch STUNS Piers Morgan With JD Vance’s OWN Trump Quote!

Jennifer Welch clashes with Piers Morgan over Donald Trump, immigration, fascism and one of the most explosive comparisons in American politics. Piers begins with a challenge: He argues that comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler or Trumpism to Nazism goes too far and ultimately weakens legitimate criticism of the president. Jennifer immediately turns the argument back on him. She points out that Trump’s own vice president, JD Vance, once privately described Trump as potentially “America’s Hitler.” That part is real. In a 2016 private Facebook message, Vance wrote that he went back and forth between viewing Trump as a cynical Nixon-like politician or “America’s Hitler.” Vance later abandoned his opposition to Trump and became one of his strongest political allies. Jennifer then points to another controversial historical comparison: reports that Trump told aides he wanted generals like Hitler’s generals. That allegation came from reporting by The Atlantic and was later supported by Trump’s former White House chief of staff John Kelly. Trump’s campaign denied that he made the remark. But Piers keeps pushing on a different question: Even when someone believes Trump’s policies are dangerous, does invoking Hitler actually clarify the argument — or does it overwhelm everything else? The discussion then moves into immigration detention. Jennifer attacks Trump’s immigration policies and uses the phrase “concentration camps,” while Piers argues that the terminology inevitably evokes Nazi extermination camps and therefore risks distorting the comparison. The exchange becomes more complicated when Piers brings up Barack Obama. Obama’s administration did formally remove more than 3 million people over his presidency, and many removals were carried out through expedited procedures without hearings before immigration judges. So Piers is on solid ground in arguing that aggressive deportation enforcement did not begin with Trump. Jennifer concedes that Obama deserves criticism too, particularly over immigration, foreign policy and corporate power. That is what makes this exchange more interesting than a standard partisan shouting match. Piers is arguing that extreme historical comparisons can destroy otherwise legitimate criticism. Jennifer is arguing that Trump’s conduct and rhetoric are serious enough that historical warning signs should not automatically be dismissed. And sitting directly between those two positions is one inconvenient fact: JD Vance himself once made the comparison.
