How Did the 12 Apostles Really Die? Faith, Facts or Fiction?
You've probably heard that Peter was crucified upside down, Bartholomew was skinned alive and Simon was sawn in half. But the Bible tells us how only one of the twelve apostles was killed, and it does it in a single sentence.
So where do all the other stories come from?
We followed all twelve on a map, from Jerusalem to the places where tradition says they died. We went through more than 25 ancient texts and counted, for every apostle, the years between his death and the oldest record we still have. The longer that gap, the more room a story has to grow. Every apostle gets a file and a verdict.
At the end we come back to one of the best-known arguments for the resurrection: would these men really have died for something they knew was a lie?
Whether you believe or still have doubts, the sources are listed below so you can check every verdict yourself. And if you'd judge one of the twelve differently, tell us in the comments.
